BC.Game makes a sharp course change

The team is withdrawing from the LAN tournament ROG JOURNEY Spring in Stockholm and forfeiting its two matches. The organizer Black Molly Entertainment has confirmed the withdrawal.

The group draw has already taken place: BC.Game ended up in Group C with Betclic, HEROIC Academy and VRS underdog Västerås, against whom they were supposed to play their opening match.

The withdrawal from the tournament hits the BC.Game position in the VRS rankings even harder. The roster is currently ranked 41st and has practically lost its chances of qualifying for the IEM Cologne Major.

At the beginning of 2026 the club bought out the core from SAW for about $2.5 million, as reported by Aleksei OverDrive Birukov. At that time the Portuguese squad was 22nd in VRS and already had a slot at Intel Extreme Masters Kraków 2026.

This transfer opened the path for Oleksandr s1mple Kostyliev to return to tier-1 LAN after his stand-in stint for FaZe at BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. In Poland BC.Game made it through the first stage, but in the second was eliminated after losses to Vitality and FaZe.

The online start was a failure: last place in the IEM Rio Europe Closed Qualifier. Then came setbacks in the playoffs of the Parken Challenger Championship #1 against ECSTATIC and illwill, as well as a 1-3 group-stage exit at the Roman Imperium Cup VI, where the team earned only a technical victory.

Now the club is shifting its focus to working on "chemistry" ahead of PGL Bucharest 2026 and Intel Extreme Masters Atlanta 2026.
