PGL returns to Cluj-Napoca in 2027

BTarena in Cluj-Napoca will once again become the playoff arena of a major tournament: PGL has announced the details of its second event of 2027, which will take place on February 11–21

As in 2025 and 2026, PGL Cluj-Napoca 2027 will conclude with the decisive matches at BTarena, the venue that already hosted a Major from DreamHack back in 2015.

In 2027, PGL has planned six tournaments, as well as an English-language broadcast of the CS Asia Championships. It was previously announced that the first event of the year will take place in Bucharest on January 17–24.

PGL Cluj-Napoca 2027 will have a prize pool of $1 million. Additionally, the organizer will allocate $300,000 in the form of VRS bonuses: the top five teams in the ranking will each receive $60,000 for accepting an invite.

On November 2, invitations will be sent to 14 teams according to the global VRS. Two more slots will be contested in the European closed qualifier on November 15–18, which will feature six invited teams and two teams from the open qualifier.
